One of those really good days, where you don’t really do anything extravagantly spectacular, but you still feel like everything is perfect. I blame the weather most of all – ten degrees and sunny – I don’t think it’s been that nice since November, probably. I got a lot of studying done, and I finally feel like my paper is starting to take shape. Seeing as the ground was ice-free for the first time in months, I could wear heels again, and it was just warm enough to wear my jacket unbuttoned. I got the distinct feeling that I’ll be able to bring my books to the park in not too long, even though my brain knows very well that I’ll most likely have to wait at least another month. Even having to spend a small fortune on allergy meds and supplements seemed OK, as it’s a tell-tale sign that spring is on it’s way.
I’m starting to sound like a crazy person, but honestly, you haven’t felt a real love for sunlight until you’ve spent at least one winter near the arctic circle :)
On my way home I found some lovely golden and blue hair clips that I simply had to have. I think they’ll look quite lovely with my freshly-dyed dress!
I’m starting to build myself a small collection of these.. Remember how butterfly hair clips were a trend in the late 90s? I never quite got over it.
I also found a way to mend a brooch that a friend gave me :)
When I got back home I did some more studying, and could keep the window open the whole time without getting cold. Did I mention how much I love spring? If this keeps up, I’ll do a wardrobe clean-out one of these days and put my winter clothes in a box in the basement!
The boyfriend fell asleep on the couch next to me as soon as he got home from work, and after a while I made a huge lasagna, and we watched Twilight and laughed at how bad it was. Terrible terrible movie, but great in the way that you get to laugh at the stupidity and feel a lot of second-hand embarrassment. I’m already looking forward to the parodies!
That’s about it :)
Today I’ve got more studying and work ahead of me, and later tonight we’re going to see Watchmen with John. I’m really looking forward to it! I haven’t read the comics, but superheroes, wooh!
