Before we go any further, please be aware of this: All of these photos were taken past 9pm. I’m hardly wearing any makeup and I’ve got terrible hayfever, so please excuse my looking like a mess.
So! Marius gave me the OBH Nordica Volumaster a few days ago, a styling iron that according to the manufacturer is a “Revolutionary product that will lift the hair from the roots to create incredible volume.” Being the big-hair fan that I am, I’ve been drooling over this thing for quite a while, so I was quite thrilled to finally get the chance to try it out!

This is the box it came in. You know, in case you’d want to buy one and are wondering what to look for.
This is the actual iron. It’s smaller than I thought it would be, which I guess is good. Anything that takes little space is alright by me.

Groan. Okay, this is me, hair freshly washed, moussed, protein-sprayed and dried. We’re ready to begin.
Now, I didn’t include any photos of the process, but you’re supposed to leave the top of your hair alone so that it looks nice and sleek and not at all like you’ve cheated, but rather just rolled out of bed looking fabulous. You then do your hair section by section – first tease (back-comb) the roots lightly, then use the volumaster for 1-2 seconds.

The halfway mark. God, normal people would just delete photos like these from their cameras, much less publish them on the Internet.

That’s a bit better. Okay, moving on!

POOF! Like magic!
The 80s had the mullet, the 90s had the platform sneakers – Today on “Things we’ll laugh ourselves silly over in the future”: photos where our arms are poking straight out. In the future, tripods will be mandatory.
But back on topic: I love this thing. Sure, the volume is built in three different ways: Mousse, back-combing and the volumaster. But the bottom line is, this is way easier than the whole back-comb-like-a madman-then-douse-in-hairspray routine I’ve been doing up until now. And your hair stays sleeker. I’m pretty sure it’s faster too. And I don’t have to use any hairspray! I love the Volumaster, and I will use it as often as I get the chance, yes I will :)

i LOVE your big hair!
Best part is: I just rolled out of bed (not particularly glamorously), and the hair is still quite poofy! That thing is definitely a keeper :D
Ooooh! poff! så fint det ble.;)
Du har fine øyenbryn majapirrraja!:D
Tusen takk!
In the future the cameras will be able to fly!
Anyway.. POOF. That’s what your hair looks like. I can do that to, when I blow-dry my hair with my head like.. err..

Like that. I always get dizzy. But my hair looks funny
I do that too, but the volume never last! My hair is too silky :(
Aww. I get that problem too. Of course that blow-dry method doesn’t last forever. But it sure is a blast ruining the ozone layer to make it last.
I wish I was good enough to use such a fanciful poof-machine
but I thought it would be a bit wavy / curly ..
not if you only use it at the roots :) But of course, if you use it down the lengths of the hair as well, you’ll get that “crimped” look.
Badly need your help. It is better to wear out than to rust out.
I am from Israel and too poorly know English, give true I wrote the following sentence: “Reid ity to the good specialists apply consumer of the concept, but utada will privately be expanded.”
;-) Thanks in advance. Davine.
Bruker du noe sånn varmebskyttende produkt i håret?
