That’s right, I got so many questions I’m going to have to split up my answers into several posts! Fun times. Let’s start :)
Marianne: What’s your favorite color toe nail polish?
Hah! Marianne knows that I only paint my toe nails. You know, I’m very partial to polka dots. I love dotted toe nails!
Susanna: Where are you in 15 years?
Geographically, who knows? I love Bergen, and will probably stay here, but never say never! Both Marius and I have confessed that we’d really like to live abroad someday. I do know that I will be with Marius, we’ll probably own a dog, we’ll live in an apartment, or a house, and if we live in Norway, we’ll be sitting in front of a fireplace. I’ll hopefully be ready to turn 40 sans botox, and have a job that I love. Oh, and I’m pretty sure I’ll have a walk-in closet ;)
What’s your favorite store in Bergen?
I love shoes, so I guess I have to say Bianco. Oh, and I love accessorize for nice sparkly things!
Plosiv: What do you look forward to the most in the near future?
Spring, definitely. I hate winter, although I have to admit, it’s not too bad when we’ve got snow like now. If we’re talking even nearer future, I quite look forward to: The weekend, and going to bed. In no particular order.
Why do you like to blog?
I think blogging appeals so much to be because I’ve always expressed myself through writing and images. I’ve written diaries since I was 7 years old, and I made my first website with a diary section when I was 15, so blogging just felt like a natural next step. It’s also a great way to share my growing interest in photography. And I love the social aspect of it! I’ve met a lot of cool people through blogging :)
What, in your opinion, makes a good blogger?
This is a difficult question, it’s like asking what makes a good movie I think. Some people like mindless action and Jason Statham, while others go for elaborate costume dramas, you know? (personally, I quite enjoyed “transporter“, while costume dramas give me the hives.) But you asked for my opinion, so here goes. Original content, an original voice, and an original point-of-view. And I mean original both in the out-of-the-box sense of the word as well as the not-stolen one – my biggest pet peeve is blogs who steal (you know, “borrow” and put “google” as their source) other people’s content. If you don’t have anything new to bring to the table, why even bother?
Which blogs do you follow regularly?
Answer: Oh man, that’s a long list. I just counted my bloglovin’ list – I’m following 94 blogs. Ninety-four! That said, I have a job where I sit in front of a computer for 7 hours and 30 minutes every day, and let me tell you, you manage to finish the on line newspapers pretty fast! Which means it’s good to have a good chunk of blogs to go through between phone calls :)
Let’s make a deal – instead of listing all my favorites, I’ll update my blogroll?
Ricardo: What other TV shows do you watch on a regular basis?
I have to admit, I hardly ever watch traditional TV anymore. We usually download/buy entire seasons of TV-series and watch an episode a day :)
Our current obsessions are House, Dexter, and The Big Bang Theory. We watched True Blood pretty religiously for a while, but lost interest in the middle of the 2nd season – we’ll probably pick it up again soon, though. Oh, and I’m a sucker for guilty pleasure girly shows like America’s Next Top Model and Project Runway. I make Marius watch them with me, and he pretends he doesn’t like it.
Caroline: Mention some books, movies and artists that you like.
You know, I’ve read way too little fiction over the last few years. Of course I have to mention the Harry Potter books, as I am quite the pathetic fan girl. For the hopeless romantics, I can suggest Francesca Lia Block’s “The Rose and the Beast“. It’s quite short, but so worth it! (Airam, make a mental note. I think you’d love it). I also quite like Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s “One hundred years of solitude“, and of course, “The lord of the rings” :)
When it comes to movies, the list is waaay too long. But as a rule of thumb, I have a huge soft spot for Quentin Tarantino and Tim Burton.
Ok, that’s it for now, I’m afraid of turning this into a TL;DR marathon for you guys. Next answer post comes tomorrow :)
