Answers, part 2 (Airam edition)

Ok, part two of the question posts! Airam gave me a question overload, so these questions are all hers. Crazy kitten!

Best place in the entire world?
Anywhere where I’ve got good friends, Marius, or my family. If there’s also a comfortable temperature and maybe a barbecue nearby, you’ve got yourself a winner!

Least flattering thing you’ve ever worn?
Orange overalls. Hands down. Worn with a neon yellow t-shirt underneath.

Five “fashionable items” (clothes, shoes, beauty product, accessories etc.) you couldn’t live without?
1. Quality makeup. Mac for my face, and Chanel eyeliner!
2. A nice, big bag. I carry a lot of stuff around with me.
3. Good quality flats/flat boots. You can buy all the heels you want, but we all know this is what you’ll end up wearing most of the time!
4. Good skirts. I wear my jeans less and less, this winter I’ve almost only worn skirts and dresses.
5. A nice jacket/coat. Most of the year, at least in this part of the world, it’s the only thing people see when you’re out and about anyway :)

Five things you intend to buy this year?
This is more of a hope than an intend, but let’s run with it:
1. A holiday, maybe a trip to Thailand?
2. One of the bags on my most wanted list. A stupidly expensive designer bag. Just one!
3. A new desktop computer. I think I might go for a mac this time around.
4. Tea. Lots of it.
5. Obscene amounts of pesto genovese. I’m addicted.

Three books/movies/CDs everyone should read/watch/listen to?
Ooh! Fun times!

The cooper temple clause – “Kick up the fire and let the flames break loose“. Because it sounds like winter.
The Mars Volta – “De-loused in the comatorium“. Because everyone needs a good prog-rock mindfrick once in a while.
Sigur Ros – “Takk“. Because it’s Wonderful.

I’ve only read books on art history and dog training lately, I’m not the right person for this question!

Worst trendy thing people wear nowadays?
I don’t think I can put my finger on one horrible trend, but I really hate it when people just pile on everything that’s trendy at once. Think headband with nerd-glasses, leggings, studs and faux fur, all worn at the same time. I see clogs are coming back, I don’t think I can get behind that one.

10 tips for a better blog (yes, I’d love to hear yours!)
1. Don’t be a copycat
2. Seek inspiration in other blogs
3. Be social, comment, and play nice!
4. When you write, think to yourself: “Is this something that I would have liked to read?”
5. Unless you have thousands of readers, drop the ads. They’re just ugly and distracting.
6. Buy your own domain and install wordpress on it
7. Don’t steal!
8. No autoplay music, please.
9. Have fun. It’s your space, and you can do anything you want with it!
10. Keep a note book nearby at all times to write down ideas for posts. Believe me, you won’t remember them when you get home :)

Five things you cannot stand in blogs:
1. Stolen content
2. Autoplay music
3. Ad-ridden layouts
4. Bad spelling/grammar
5. Bloggers who don’t reply to any comments

Did you have an imaginary best friend when you were a little girl? Or a favourite cuddly toy?
I didn’t have an imaginary friend, but I did daydream a lot. No favorite toy :)

What’s the best ice cream flavour?
Mövenpick belgian chocolate, or a nice vanilla covered in the kind of choclate sauce that goes hard, topped with strawberry or raspberry jam!

Tips for taking better photographs?
Practise practise practise. Get a flickr account, browse the explore section, and read photography books!

Favourite thing to do on a rainy day when you’re not working? And on a sunny one?
On a rainy day: hanging out with a friend while drinking tea. Or playing World of Warcraft/Watching a movie with Marius. On a sunny day: barbecue, friends and photography!

A song that often pops into your mind?
“Viva la Vida” by Coldplay

Best thing to put on a slice of bread?
Ruccula, brie, pesto, good ham and thin slices of red onion. Yum! But it has to be a proper baguette with lots of nice grain :)

The first thing that pop into your mind if I say “bunnies”?
My pet rabbit Noppe that I had as a child. Best bunny ever. We kept him inside a lot, and trained him to use a litter box. He loved to sleep in front of the fireplace :)

Team Edward or team Jacob?
Team creepy stalking vampire or team nice friendly werewolf, you mean? Team wolfy! God, I can’t believe I was able to answer that question.. ;)
