Before I go on and on about today, let me go on and on about yesterday a bit. You see, I was supposed to have a long day to myself yesterday, where I could be a slob, eat a big breakfast, apply for jobs, clean a bit, and go to the gym. At 10.15, however, I got a call from work. I had to be at work at 11.30. This gave me a total of 55 minutes to get work-ready. Now, don’t give me that “Maja, come on, that’s plenty of time!”. It’s not! I had to shower, get dressed, eat, make lunch, find my uniform, fix my hair, and put on makeup. This took a grand total of 57 minutes. How Marius manages to get out of bed and be out of the house ten minutes later, I have no idea. No idea!
I had a nice day at work, however. No rude costumers, I sold things, a new girl had started working there and she was nice too! Good day. I did get one of those costumers who only go to stores to find someone to tell their life story to, but it happened at a time where the store was quiet and the life story was pretty interesting, so I didn’t mind. It was a little old man who told me about being young in the 40s and 50s and his journeys by boat to America and how people were much more friendlier and classier back then. If I hadn’t been at work, I totally would have gone to a café with him to sit down and hear more :)
When I got home around 8pm, both me and Marius were pretty dead. He had worked overtime, been to the gym AND cooked dinner. We ended up in front of each our PC, him watcing live feeds from E3 and me reading blogs, before we went to bed at 10pm. We’re the world’s most exciting couple ;)
Today, however, I have the day off! I can do everything I planned to do yesterday. I’ve got a good collection of job ads to read through, I can clean, and I can bring the Brit-pod to the gym! Oh, what’s a Brit-pod, you ask? That’s the Little pink iPod shuffle I wrote about last week or so, I basically put the collected works of Miss Britney Spears on it. I’ve never been a huge fan, but it’s the best workout music ever! I wish it had a delete song function though, so I could delete all the ballads as I come across them.
Enough talk, onto the photos!

My sweaty-looking breakfast. Even the ham looks sad, poor thing. It can just barely hang on to the crisp-bread.

I made a brooch from an old hair pin! I never wore the pin, but I know I’ll wear the brooch a lot :)

It’s time for the bi-monthly update on my hair! It’s been exactly two months since I last dyed it, and I feel pretty confident when I say that the color was a good match to my natural color and that I won’t have to dye it again in a loong time. Hooray!

See, without the flash you can hardly tell the difference! And yes, I did pick this photo because of the silly face. Do you like my bathrobe? It’s made of teddy bear-fabric!

Oh and last but not least: Fiskulf has been sick for the last few days, but he’s doing better. It looked pretty bad for a while, he was just laying on the bottom without moving and refused to eat for two days! But I gave him fish meds and now he’s nearly back to his old self. Come to think of it, he’s starting to look a bit chubby!
Fun fact: My writing about my fish all the time is not at all a gimmick. Seriously. When my mother calls me for our weekly Sunday chat on the phone, she asks how the fish is doing. Every week. It’s that bad ;)
