Sunday vanity post

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

Ok, time to blog a bit again! An annual event took place yesterday – the family’s girls’ annual shopping trip. My mom, sister and I went to Ålesund, the next town from here, early Saturday morning in order to “look around”. My mission was to find a suitcase, as I have decided to do a bit of traveling from now on. I’ve been a very frugal student for the past five years,  so now that I have a full time job I plan to travel more. And I did find the perfect suitcase! It’s huge, weighs practically nothing, and has four wheels so I can push it around instead of dragging it if I want to. It’s black, so it looks quite boring, but i figured I could get a really awesome luggage strap for it. Maybe I could D.I.Y one!

Oh never mind, I’ll just get on with it, I know you’re only in here for the photos after all… ;)

1. Black muffler! I have learned now that it is indeed called a “muffler” and not a “muff“, because a “muff” is something entirely different.  These things are good to know! See how well it matches my hat and collar? I’m going to use the hell out of these three items! Faux fur, of course.

2. Bolero type thing. Because my wardrobe has no blue sparkly knitwear.

3. White coat. My mom bought me this, and I love it so much. Imagine the collar switched with the one from photo #1 with the hat and the muffler? I can’t wait to get to wear it properly!

4. Raspberry pink day dress, I love the color. Also, it’s probably the most “grown up” dress I own :)

5. Accessories. Bow for the hair, bows for my ears, and snowflake earrings and necklace. I’ve been looking for a snowflake necklace forever, so I was so happy when I found this!

6. Last but not least – my sister gave me her old Uggs. Now we know they’re out of style, there’s nothing wrong with them, she just didn’t want them anymore! I don’t give a hoot, they’re comfy and I’ll wear them indoors or when I run to the shop. Or for visiting Maren, because she hates Uggs with a passion ;)

Okay, that’s it for tonight. The rest of my evening will be spent watching “Batman Begins” with my sister :)

Christmas wish list

(I’m not really serious about the puppies, I can’t have a dog right now. But they’re cute, no? :)

Happy Birthday to me!

Friday, October 16th, 2009

Ok. Seriously. Best. Birthday. Ever!

At work today, one of my group members had baked a huge chocolate cake for me. Then another group member brought me pink glittery tinsel things and draped them all over my desk (and myself) and gave me a crown to wear all day.

You better know I wore that thing all day! Proudly!

Then my girl Ida brought me cupcakes later in the day <3

After work I went to Maren’s place, where there was even more cake <3

And she and Kenneth gave me what will be my new favorite necklace:

Awesome, or awesome?!

30 minutes left of my birthday now. Catch you later! :D

P.S: Big thanks to Caroline for the sweet birthday post <3

One of those conversations

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

Proud boyfriend: Look! I brought an umbrella home from work today!

Me: Great, we can never get enough umbrellas, not as long as you keep leaving them behind everywhere!

Boyfriend: *Grin*

Me: Hey, wait.. This looks suspiciously like my old umbrella..

Boyfriend: Hey, yeah, I guess you’re right!

Me: So what you’re actually telling me is that you brought me home my own umbrella that you had left at work ages ago and then forgot?

Boyfriend: *No longer grinning*

Me: Yeah, you’re a right catch ;)

I then laughed at him for some good five minutes and promised not to blog any of it. Woops!

Come on, spread the love!

One of my favorite bloggers,  Lexie, posted this on her blog a few days back, and I was one of her lucky 5 first people to comment. This means I am now obligated to do the same on my blog. Confused? Don’t be. Here’s what I’m talking about:

I am entering into the following contract with the first 5 people who comment on this post and then commit to do the same on their blog. Just read below and if you feel up to the task copy the following into your blog and leave me a comment. I am willing to post packages overseas (I am in Norway).

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make. Whatcha get is whatcha get.
2. What I create will be just for you, with love.
3. It’ll be done this year (2009).
4. I will not give you any clue what it’s going to be. It may be weird or beautiful. Or it may be monstrous and annoying. (unlikely!) Who knows? Not you, that’s for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something strange.
6. In return, all you need to do is post this text on your blog and make 5 things for the first 5 to respond to your blog post.
7. Send your mailing address – after I contact you.

Welcome to everyone. I will however, make an effort to do something that you like based on what I see on your blog.

Come on, don’t be shy. Even if you don’t think you’re the creative type, you might end up surprising yourself – and making 5 other people very happy too!

So there you go, be the first 5 to leave a comment and be a part of it! Please leave your email address as well so I can contact you. I can’t wait to see who signs up for this :)
