It’s funny how everything seems to work itself out in the end. The aforementioned strike ended around midnight yesterday, and I went straight online to order plane tickets to go back home. I got them for less than I would have paid for the bus fare, and I will now spend one hour traveling each way instead of eleven. Saying that I breathed a sigh of relief would be an understatement. I can’t wait to go back home to see family and relatives, and it will be nice to attend my grandmother’s funeral. It’s been a good weekend.
I don’t know if you’ve every wondered about where I blog and/or kick back, but here it is – the corner of the sofa, the best sofa in the world, with it’s perfect laptop friendly arm rest. Notice how I propped up the Harry Potter book for the occasion? I started re-reading it today, as I realized sometime yesterday that there’s a new movie coming out in November and that I have to brush up on my Potter knowledge. I can’t wait for the last two movies, and at the same time I don’t want them to come out, ever, because that will mean that it’s all over and I will surely cry like a little girl for the full duration of both movies. Ugh.
When did this morph into a Harry Potter whine post? Huh, didn’t see that one coming!
I guess I better end it here, then, before I start ranting uncontrollably about wands and house elves and Dumbledore. Marius just bought be a teeny weeny chocolate and mentioned something about Stephen Fry on the TV, and I can’t miss and opportunity to watch Stephen Fry. I hope everyone had a good weekend :)
