Okay guys – this is the result of last week’s giveaway! Ida Therese, the drawing is on its way to you – I was too distracted to remember to write a note, but I bet you’ll figure it’s from me either way :)
For those of you who don’t speak Norwegian, this is what is going on:
Hello Kitty:“Uh, My Melody, are you okay..?”
Ida Therese:“My Melody is locked up in the basement, its all about Ida Therese now!”
I hope you feel like the drawing fits your description – I know I had a lot of fun drawing it!
Today I have been rummaging around my Flickr archive. The initial plan was to have a bit of a cleanup, but instead I gathered a handful of photos that I wanted to show you because they made me smile. The cleanup will have to wait until another day!
My fake fur coat – it is second hand and cost me about the same as an average lip stick. I haven’t had a lot of chances to wear it yet, but once it gets cold enough I will wear it to death.
My little sister and my family’s dog, Luna, impatiently waiting for someone to take her for a walk.
I was going through such a rough time when this photo was taken, but this day was absolute perfection.
Luna and the only cat in the world that she doesn’t want to kill. Seeing the two of them together is amazing – the cat is so damn confident and it completely throws Luna off. She completely forgets that she hates cats!
Luna wants to play – yes, that is a playful growl, not an angry one! I am willing to bet good money that she is half wookie.
Can you tell I’m feeling a bit nostalgic? My family left two days ago and I’ve already started to look forward to Christmas holidays like you wouldn’t believe! Okay, enough with the show and tell – what has made you smile this week?
And the winner of one super-personalized drawing from my giveaway is….
*drumroll*
Congratulations Ida Therese! I officially owe you a drawing of you and Hello Kitty where you are dressed up as one of Hello Kitty’s friends. I am very excited and I clearly need to do some research on Hello Kitty ;)
A big thanks to everyone who wanted to participate in this, you all had excellent ideas for drawings. I think that about half of you might have conceived your ideas while tripping on acid. I have the best readers. Bear hugs for everyone.
In other news I now have 4 regular days ahead of me before the next batch of family comes to visit. Seeing as I have spent the last three days eating and drinking red wine pretty much non stop I think I best spend a few afternoons at my gym. And hey, let us not forget that I owe you a few blog posts.
On that note I wish you a wonderful Sunday evening!
That´s right! I am having my very first giveaway! I figured that if I am going to be offline for a few days (because of the previously mentioned visit from my family) I might as well figure out something that the blog can do on its own while I am away. The solution:
I´m giving one of you a drawing!
All you have to do is to leave me a comment telling me what you would like me to draw.
It could be anything – I can draw you, or a unicorn, or you riding a unicorn – whatever floats your boat. I will pick one of you at random and draw the drawing for you in my shiny new A4 sketch pad and send it to you in the mail. I know that the usual spin is to demand a like on my Facebook page and a follow on Bloglovin´, but I´m not going to do that. If you want to do either of those things I´d be delighted, of course, but there´s no demand. But do make sure to enter your e-mail address when you leave a comment, so that I can get in touch with you! If you want to check out some drawings I have made earlier I have a Flickr set here.
… And that is what I have been up to! I’m sorry, I know this is silly and pointless, but I’m kind of useless these days. None of our PCs want to communicate with our scanner anymore so I can’t scan you drawings at the moment, but I’m on it. We are also having family over every weekend for the next two weeks so if I suddenly turn quiet on you, well, that is why. Fun things are happening!
In the meantime, feel free to tell me if there’s anything you’d like me to write about, draw, or photograph. It was your comments that made me write the D.I.Y closet boot camp post after all, and if you’ve got anything else up your collective sleeves I would be delighted to hear about it :)
Not a hipster queen, style scout or a fiery fashionista, but a pretty normal 26-year old Norwegian female who loves to write and take pictures. Actually, she's a bit of a nerd. Don't tell her I said that.
